Semaglutide dosage calculator

Convert your prescribed semaglutide amount using the concentration printed on your liquid vial. See both the liquid volume and syringe reading, without assuming a standard concentration.

Your label numbers. A transparent calculation.

mg, mL and syringe markings — explained.

Calculated in your browser. Inputs are not saved.

A little clarity, before you calculate

Milligrams measure the amount of medicine. Milliliters measure liquid volume. Syringe units are markings on a specific scale — they are not milligrams.

Understand the three units

For labeled liquid vials only. This tool does not calculate pen clicks, choose a dose, or give mixing instructions.

Your unit calculator

Demonstration only: fictional liquid values, not a medication label or recommended dose. Edit the example, or use your own label.

Results update automatically as you change valid values.
01

Example concentration

These are fictional numbers for exploring the calculation.

mg
mL

If your label says mg/mL, enter that mg value and 1 mL. If it says mg per 0.5 mL, enter that mg value and 0.5 mL. Do not guess missing label numbers.

02

Change the example amount

For demonstration only; not a prescription or suggested amount.

mg
03

Check your syringe markings

Confirm all three details on the syringe or packaging.

A 50-unit capacity U-100 syringe is still U-100, not U-50. Scale and capacity are different. Defaults are not recommendations.

Example result — not for injection
20units
0.2mL
  1. 10 mg ÷ 2 mL = 5 mg/mL
  2. 1 mg ÷ 5 mg/mL = 0.2 mL
  3. 0.2 mL × 100 = 20 units

Values are displayed to up to 8 significant figures. Display precision is not measurement accuracy.

Math only, not an instruction to inject. Verify the label, prescription and result with your pharmacist. If anything differs, stop and ask.

THE MATH, MADE VISIBLE

Three units. Three simple steps.

Every result shows the concentration, the liquid volume, and the equivalent markings.

01

Find the concentration

Divide the labeled mg by its corresponding mL. Always use numbers from the same label statement.

mg ÷ mL = mg/mL
02

Convert mg to mL

Divide the prescribed amount by the concentration. This gives a mathematical liquid volume.

mg ÷ (mg/mL) = mL
03

Read the syringe scale

Multiply the volume by markings per mL. The same volume has different readings on different scales.

mL × scale = units
COMMON QUESTIONS

Semaglutide conversion questions

Why is there no standard semaglutide units chart?

Different liquid concentrations produce different volumes for the same amount in mg. FDA has reported dosing errors involving confusion among mg, mL and units in compounded semaglutide products.

Can I use numbers from an old vial?

Only use the concentration on the vial you are currently checking. A refill or different pharmacy may supply a different concentration. Ask your pharmacist if the label or directions have changed.

Does this calculate Ozempic or Wegovy pen clicks?

No. Brand-name pen devices have their own product instructions. Syringe units are not pen clicks. This tool does not convert clicks, alter a pen dose, or provide pen extraction instructions.

What if the result differs from my pharmacy directions?

Do not use this result to override the directions. Stop and contact the dispensing pharmacist or prescriber to check the concentration, units and syringe type together.
